Please read these terms carefully before using PollXYZ.
By using PollXYZ ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. We may update these Terms at any time — continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use PollXYZ. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit users under 18 to register. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data. If you believe someone under 18 has registered, contact us at privacy@pollxyz.com.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Do not share your password. Notify us immediately at legal@pollxyz.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
Your username is your public identity on PollXYZ. It can be your real name or any pseudonym — we do not verify it and make no attempt to do so. You may not impersonate real people, organisations, or brands in a misleading way, and you may not use a username that is offensive or harassing.
You agree not to: post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or defamatory; manipulate votes through bots, scripts, or multiple accounts; attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise the platform; scrape or harvest user data; or post spam or unsolicited commercial content. Violations may result in immediate account termination.
Profile photos are optional. If you upload one you confirm that (a) you have the right to use the image; (b) it does not contain explicit nudity, graphic violence, hate symbols, or content that sexualises minors; and (c) it does not impersonate another real person, brand, or public figure in a misleading way. We may remove any photo that violates these rules without prior notice.
Your bio (up to 160 characters) is automatically processed before being saved: links, email addresses, and phone numbers are stripped, and a list of unambiguous slurs is rejected at submission time. Even after this automatic filter, you remain responsible for your bio content and we may remove or replace bios that violate these Terms.
Your primary location (country, state, city) is locked for a randomised period of between 65 and 120 days at a time. To change it you must submit a request through the app, which is reviewed by an administrator. We may refuse a location change request if we have reason to believe it is intended to manipulate demographic statistics or evade enforcement of these Terms.
All polls, options, and comments are subject to our community guidelines. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines without notice. You are solely responsible for the content you create. By submitting content, you grant PollXYZ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform.
Some polls displayed in the app are paid promotional content sponsored by a brand, organisation, or researcher. Every sponsored poll is clearly labelled with the word "Sponsored" and the sponsor's name. PollXYZ reserves editorial discretion to accept or refuse any sponsorship, and to remove any sponsored poll that violates these Terms or our community standards.
Targeting on race or ethnicity, religion or faith, sexual orientation, or political leaning is impossible because PollXYZ does not collect this data at all. The original database-level constraint that blocked such targeting on sponsored polls remains in place defensively. Sponsors never receive any individual user data; they receive only aggregate, anonymous demographic statistics from the polls they sponsor.
Each user may vote once per poll. Vote manipulation — including using multiple accounts, automated tools, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour — is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination and removal of affected votes.
When you choose to vote anonymously, your username is not visible to other users or poll creators. PollXYZ retains internal identifiers for fraud prevention and platform integrity. Anonymous votes still count toward aggregate results and demographic breakdowns.
The PollXYZ app, its design, branding, and original content are the property of PollXYZ and its licensors. You may not reproduce, copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Poll results are user-generated and do not represent the views or opinions of PollXYZ.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PollXYZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
